Understanding the Profile page

 Each asset in the Argus Tracking Dashboard has an Asset Profile page. This page can be found by selecting My Assets from the side menu, then clicking the blue Profile button below the asset you wish to view the profile of.

The Asset Profile page is like the control centre for each asset. This is where you can input information about each asset, change an asset's name, assign it to a group, add photos, toggle driver ID features on and off and add notes. To deativate a Driver ID buzzer, see this article.

The first few boxes on the profile page show the assets name, registration and any groups the asset belongs to. These are all editable by clicking into each box, then pressing the blue save button to save any updates.

Asset Name

Whatever the asset is labeled as in the name box, will be the assets label in all reporting - by default this will be the vehicle's registration, but this could be the driver's name (if it is a dedicated vehicle) or the vehicle type eg) digger.

Asset Type

Assets are divided into two types: Road registered, or Other.  If an asset is road registered, select road registered, for all other assets select other. When you click on My Assets, you are shown all assets, but use the drop-down options under My Assets in the sidebar to filter your asset search by road registered vehicles or other assets.

Asset Groups

An asset can be in multiple groups eg) Sales and Christchurch. To add an asset to a group, click in the groups box, then select the group to apply it to, then press the blue Save button.  For more information on groups, see this article. 

Images

Along the top left of the Asset Profile page, there are 3 boxes for images. You can upload up to 3 images for each asset.  For more information on how to add images to an asset, see this article.

Toggles

Below the images and groups box, is a line of toggles. Think of this as the switchboard for any extra features for this asset - by switching these toggles on and off you can activate a 90km speed limit, iButton driver ID, a buzzer, & add it to pool booking.

A toggle will turn blue when enabled. If a toggle is not activated, for example - you do not have iButton Driver ID enabled, this asset will not have the functionality to use Driver ID. These features require additional hardware and/or software, please do not activate the toggle if this has not been installed or this functionality is not required! 

Remember to press the blue Save button to save your changes after activating a toggle!

Below the toggles are a series of other boxes for other details about this asset. 

Asset details

The first 2 lines  (Make, Model, Engine number, Year, Vehicle Type, and Fuel Type) will be automatically filled in through the NZTA sync if the information is available. If the data is not available, the box will be left blank. 

The rest of the boxes are for your vehicle details.

Some boxes are specific to your organisation (Fleet ID, Cost Centre, Fuel Card number)

Some boxes relate to Lease (Lease start date, Lease term (months), Lease distance (km))

Some boxes relate to Purchase (Purchase date, Purchase price)

And other boxes are specific the Vehicle itself, with some for vehicle maintenance (tyre size and vehicle condition) and others to aid with usage reporting ( RUC cost per 1000km, Fuel L/100km, CO2 Emissions).  www.carjam.co.nz or www.rightcar.govt.nz are great sources to get more information on each vehicle, just search your vehicles registration number on either of these websites. 

Note:  If you are going to use the Asset Register, you will need to fill the Asset profile in in detail, as much of the information in the Asset Register is pulled in from the information in your assets profile page.

Please ensure you have filled in as much detail as possible into your assets profile page to use the asset register to its full potential. The more detail in your profile page, the more accurate your asset register will be.
